Subtle Guarding Error
RAII / Guard Anti-Pattern
The Guard Post design pattern is great to avoid ending up with deadlocked threads. However there is a subtle trap you should avoid and know about, which can cause your thread synchronization to become void and in worst case cause unexpected behavior or crash your application.
