The Eurostar Da Vinci Code Quest
Another Da Vinci Code quest, this time by Eurostar. Couldn't resist playing this one too, very addicting. Access the eurostar page here
The puzzles are little bit harder than the Google ones. Some puzzles are "prize puzzles". So far these puzzles have been on the form of the game Master Mind. The time and number of attempts are recorded and the fastest players with the fewest attempts win some sony stuff. I think I've been pretty lucky on the mastermind game, guessing the right sequence in 3 attempts both times. If you are playing the quest, please drop a comment with your times and number of attempts.
Here is a series of screenshots of the puzzles so far. The next challenge is to be published on May 25th.

Re: The Eurostar Da Vinci Code Quest
I'm having lots of trouble with the sliding puzzle. I downloaded the program that was suggested but it did not work. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to solve it? I've tried for days and days. This is getting frustrating! Please email me: cat_luver1987@hotmail.com
Re: The Eurostar Da Vinci Code Quest
OK, I will respond here in order to be fair to everyone, hopefully you didn't close the puzzle.
How I figured this out is, I know the single word is VOLTAIRE. So I started by printing out your screen shot and replacing letters.
A=L, B=G, C=E, D=K, E=C, G=P, H=B, I=N, J=T, K=F, L=S, M=D, P=Z, Q=M, R=I, S=H, T=U, U=W, V=O, W=A, X=V & Z=R.
With the cypher decoded you, and everyone else who may be stuck can decode the names.
Re: The Eurostar Da Vinci Code Quest
Best time was 3 minutes and 4/100 of a second. Unfortunately it took me 9 attempts. That was my 3rd try. The first 2 times I tried, I did it in 6 attempts and 8 attempts but over 11 minutes for each. Took me a couple of tries to get the pattern for elimination down. Oh well, I had fun and hopefully I will win one of the "other hundreds of prizes" they have listed
Re: The Eurostar Da Vinci Code Quest
Grand Prize
I got pretty lucky to get 5 right on the 3rd turn therefore only had 5 left. As a result, I had my best time. The other 2 were 7 tries each. I'm in the Eastern Time Zone. The guy with 2 tries, what time zone are you in. I hope not Eastern.
5 Tries

Re: The Eurostar Da Vinci Code Quest
If you don't have Print Screen software with lots of enhancements, use your Print Screen key at the end of all the F1-F12 keys... See it? I can only copy to a MS Word document,,, not to a Clipboard, not to an Email,, etc... but have the MS WORD document open BEFORE you hit the print screen key, otherwise you will lose the screen you "captured"... email if you can't get it... or AIM: diffieman.
Re: The Eurostar Da Vinci Code Quest
For printscreen, instead of putting it in MS word, try putting it in MS Paint. That way you can get rid of the unwanted edges and save as whatever file you want. Also if you wanted to, you could make your 14 tries look like 4 tries. hehe. Never trust a printscreen any more than some one's word.
